SP Medifort and Rotary Partner to Offer Free AI-Powered Thermal Mammogram Screenings for Early Breast Cancer Detection

Thiruvananthapuram, December 30, 2025 – In a significant step towards advancing women’s healthcare and early cancer detection, SP Medifort Hospital has partnered with Rotary District 3211 across the Thiruvananthapuram Revenue District to conduct free AI-powered thermal mammogram screening camps. The initiative was formally announced at a launch event held at SP Medifort Hospital.

The programme utilizes state-of-the-art artificial intelligence–based thermal imaging technology to detect early signs of breast cancer. The screening method is radiation-free, painless, non-invasive, and follows a no-touch, no-pain, no-see approach, making it suitable for women of all age groups and across all breast densities.

By integrating AI into diagnostic screening, the initiative significantly enhances accuracy, reduces reporting time, and enables early identification of breast abnormalities, when treatment is most effective and survival rates are highest. The initiative aims to increase awareness, remove barriers to screening, and encourage timely medical intervention.

The launch event was graced by Rtn. Dr. Tina Antoney, District Governor, Rotary International District 3211, as the Chief Guest. Speaking at the event, she said, “Early detection saves lives. By bringing advanced AI-powered screening closer to the community, Rotary is empowering women with access to cutting-edge healthcare and timely intervention.”

Expressing his support for the collaboration, Dr. S. P. Asokan, Chairman & Managing Director, SP Medifort Hospital, stated, “We are delighted to partner with Rotary for this much-needed, painless cancer screening initiative. Early diagnosis plays a crucial role in improving outcomes, and this programme ensures that advanced technology reaches women who need it the most.”

Through this partnership, SP Medifort and Rotary reaffirm their shared commitment to preventive healthcare, community outreach, and improving access to advanced medical diagnostics for women across the region.
