Thiruvananthapuram, November 28, 2025 – In a landmark step towards inclusive mobility and livelihood empowerment, SP Adarsh Foundation has launched motorized wheelchairs for the first time in Kerala, creating a new benchmark in accessibility and social impact. As part of this initiative, 10 NeoBolt motorized wheelchairs were handed over to trained differently abled individuals, enabling them to begin work as Zomato delivery partners.
The launch ceremony was held at SP Medifort Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, marking a significant milestone under the “Livelihood On Wheels” project. This collaborative social initiative is spearheaded by SP Adarsh Foundation and Can Walk Foundation, powered by NeoMotion and Zomato, with the shared vision of transforming mobility into sustainable employment opportunities.
Since 2022, SP Adarsh Foundation, in association with Can Walk Foundation, has been actively engaged in physical rehabilitation and skill development programs for the differently abled. To date, over 200 individuals have successfully completed rehabilitation, gaining renewed confidence, independence, and functional mobility. Speaking on the occasion, representatives emphasized that the initiative goes beyond assistive devices—it is about restoring dignity, fostering independence, and creating equal access to livelihood opportunities. By integrating rehabilitation, mobility technology, and employment, the program sets a replicable model for inclusive development across the state and beyond.
With this initiative, SP Adarsh Foundation reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility—driving mobility into opportunity and inclusion into action.
