Introduction

Dr. Sreejith R is a Senior Consultant Pediatrician at SP Medifort Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, with extensive experience in child health and pediatric care, spanning nearly two decades. He holds MBBS, MD in Paediatrics, and a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), demonstrating a strong academic foundation in pediatric medicine.

He has a broad clinical background in general pediatrics, focusing on the growth, development, and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. Dr. Sreejith has significant experience in managing common and complex childhood illnesses, with an emphasis on allergy and asthma management, immunization, nutrition, and preventive health practices. His approach combines evidence‑based medicine with compassionate communication to ensure children and families feel supported throughout care.

He began his medical journey with an MBBS, followed by an MD in Pediatrics, and also holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), reflecting his solid academic grounding and specialized training in pediatrics. Over the years, Dr. Sreejith has participated in various research initiatives and workshops, contributing to academic and clinical advancements in child health.

Before joining SP Medifort, Dr. Sreejith served as Consultant – Paediatrics at SK Hospital and later as Director & Consultant – Paediatrics at Nirmala Hospital, Vettucaud, where he was instrumental in strengthening paediatric services and mentoring younger clinicians. He is also an active member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), staying engaged with the latest developments in child health practice and standards.
